Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's most commonly referred to, was an American-born British singer and guitarist who was the leader of the only female hard rock band The Runaways during the late 1970s. It wasn't possible for The Runaways to become an instant hit in the United States, however, they enjoyed a great deal of attention in other countries, especially Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career after the disbandment of her band in 1979. She began voice lessons, and then released her debut solo album , 'Out For Blood' followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford went missing for several time from the scene following the albums' failure to get much attention. She returned with a bang with her hit album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were among her biggest hit songs. Unfortunately, the success of her career wasn't last long and after a few years she disappeared. In 1995 she debuted "Black" and fifteen years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. The year 2016 brought the release of her most recent studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the Certified Guitar Legend Award.
