Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie also known as Andra is an American R&B soul, soul and musician and singer. She has won the Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are just a few of the many accolades she has received. She was also considered for nominations to an Academy Award. Andra Day, a gifted artist and songwriter, with a strong background in blues, gospel and gospel that has a passion for the contemporary world, is not just an R&B throwback master. Her ability to blend the influences of jazz, gospel and the blues into the R&B genre is impressive. Stand Up for Something, the 2017 track she contributed to the score of Marshall for the movie Marshall earned an Academy Award as well as the Grammy. Amen (2018) Take Care of Your Troubles (2020), and her Golden Globe award-winning performance Billie Holiday, in The United States against Billie Holiday(2021) continue to build anticipation for Day's second full album. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie, in Edmonds Washington. She grew in San Diego and the metropolitan city. In the area, she performed in church and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. Her focus changed from contemporary R&B and pop when she graduated, but eventually was drawn back towards the soul and jazz artists she listened to when she was a kid. A major break came after a show she performed was caught by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently offered some of Day's songs to husband Stevie Wonder. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. In partnership with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans' Buskin label Day built up a popularity on YouTube and later signed to major label Warner Bros. n 2012 Day released her debut single Forever Mine on YouTube. It was played quickly by radio DJs. Following her joining Warner Bros. Records, she began to work with producer Adrian Gurvitz on their debut record "Cheers to fall" (2015). It included Rise Up, which has become an international anthem of social justice movements. Day was nominated for two Grammys with the latter being Best R&B Album. In the year 2019, she released her sophomore album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the legendary jazz singer. In the same year, she appeared in a biopic of Holiday's story, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is a famous American actor. She made her television debut in series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods prior to making her feature film debut as Allyson Nelson, in the horror movie series Halloween and its sequels. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
